The Story of Deck exhibition was a huge success according to the organisers with large numbers of creatives and residents attending the event. Organiser and artist, Edwin Kua said the exhibition was ‘‘fantastic, absolutely brilliant’’. More than 100 people attended the exhibition that night alone and guests were impressed by the standard and diversity of the art on display, he said.
Ashley New, co-organizer/artist said they will be running a second installment to Story of Deck in the near future because of the success of the inaugural exhibition. ‘‘The whole thing has been brilliant, I really want to develop it even more now,’’ he said. The event showcased hand crafted skateboards with some hand-crafted T-shirt graphics.
